"Blue Bayou"
by Richard Krausview biography"The more clearly we can focus our attention on the wonders and realities of the universe about us, the less taste we shall have for destruction."
- Rachel Carson (1907-1964).
Personal Reflection:
I was devasatatingly excited by what my eyes were seeing. It took me a long time to take the picture. This is not because it was a difficult subject to photograph, but because I had to free myself from the absolute awe I was experiencing. I knew soon the misty light would disappear and this might take the appearance of a wet field that had too much rain.
Technical:
This photograph was taken with a Sinar 4x5 view camera with a 150mm Schnieder lens. The film was Vericolor II and there was no filtration.
