"Swan Lake"
by Richard Krausview biography"Wisdom and Spirit of the Universe! thou Soul that art the Eternity of thought! And givst to forms and images a breath And everlasting motion!
- William Wordsworth.
Personal Reflection:
My tripod was set with camera focused on this mist filled lake. I was awaiting the morning sun as it began to penetrate the mist. The setting was tranquil and peaceful when all of a sudden I was jarred by a mysterious whispy sound. I had never the sound of a swan in flight until that moment. I was totally captivated by the uniqueness of the sound.
Further to my amazement, the swan landed right in the midst of my camera's focus and I simply had to click the shutter to capture the water ripple surrounding the swan made from the landing. Was this coincidence, or something more?
Technical:
The photograph was made using a Linhof Technika 4x5" camera on a tripod with a Schneider 150mm lens. The film was Kodak Vericolor negative and no filtration was used.
